As August approaches, we offer some vacation suggestions to think about if warm weather, beaches, or poolside cabanas are essential components of your ideal summer holiday. In August, highs average in the low 90s, but you're never far from a pool or a cold drink. During the Prickly Pear Harvest, which occurs from August 14 to 31, visitors to Tucson's classic dude ranch, Tanque Verde Ranch, can pick prickly pears and enjoy a refreshing pink prickly pear margarita. Hikes in the Sonoran Desert at Miraval Arizona can be enjoyed during Tucson's pleasant summer evenings. Visit the Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter to observe the skies with expert astronomers for the ultimate stargazing experience. Temperatures in the mid-60s make it pleasant to go out and about in Edinburgh during the month of August, which is a very exciting time to visit the city. From August 5th to the 28th, the 75th Edinburgh International Festival will feature artists from the fields of dance, opera, music, and theater. In addition, the annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe is synonymous with entertaining street performances, musical and magical shows, artistic presentations, crowds, and good times for all. In addition, late July features a food festival and a variety of outdoor markets in addition to an art festival, a film festival, a book festival, and a book and film festival. Summer in the "Mile High City" is at its peak in August, when daytime temperatures are pleasant and nighttime temperatures are mild. There are numerous entertainment options in downtown Denver, including a wide variety of dining establishments, retail stores, museums, nightclubs, the Denver Performing Arts Center, and Union Station. Union Station is more than just a transit hub; it also features high-end eateries, boutique shops, and the Crawford Hotel. It takes only 37 minutes to travel to Union Station from Denver International Airport via train. Found on the St. Located on the St. Lawrence River just north of Vermont, Montréal is a beautiful place to visit year-round. Old Montreal (Vieux-Montréal) is the city's historic center with cobblestone streets and architecture dating back to the 16th century, and temperatures in the 70s in August make it pleasant to stroll through the area. Plan a trip to Parc du Mont-Royal for some outdoor recreation, such as a walk, a picnic, a bike ride, or a row on the lake. Don't miss the open-air Jean-Talon Market for lunch or window shopping, and don't leave town without trying one of the city's signature bagels. A parade and a variety of cultural events take place throughout the week of August 1-7 to commemorate the annual Pride Festival for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transg August 5-7 sees the return of IleSoniq, a festival of electronic dance and urban music, and August 23-28 sees the return of MUTEK, a festival of digital creativity. Fans of live music can also anticipate the July 29-31 Osheaga festival.

The Santa Ynez Valley, located roughly two hours north of Los Angeles, is home to more than 300 wineries and is renowned for its world-class wine tasting, authentic Old West-style towns, and historic Danish-American community. The Santa Rita Hills Wine Country is honored at "Wine and Fire," held August 18-21. Visitors to Solvang enjoy ambling through the town's historic district and stopping in at the many cafes, bakeries, wine bars, and boutiques along the way. Enjoy your stay at The Winston, where each room has been thoughtfully furnished. The Vinland Hotel & Lounge is a pet-friendly, modern hotel with a heated pool and a hot tub. Santa Fe, also known as the "City Different," experiences warm temperatures in the 80s during the month of August. From July 1st to August 27th, there is an opera season, and a night spent under the stars in the desert is unlike any other. Taking place in Santa Fe, New Mexico, from August 17-21, the Santa Fe Indian Market is a celebration of Native American art and culture that features live performances, a fashion show, and a wide selection of handmade jewelry, textiles, baskets, and other items. The week of August 27–September 3 is Santa Fe Music Week, and it features concerts all over Santa Fe showcasing a wide variety of musical genres from jazz to latin to rock to country. On September 2, there will be a special event called The Burning of Zozobra, where people can watch as a mythical monster is burned to ashes. Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi and Bishop's Lodge, Auberge Resort Collection are just two of the many five-star hotels in the city. There's also the Hotel St. Francis, the Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe, the Inn & Spa at Loretto, and the Eldorado Hotel & Spa.

Macon, located about 80 miles southeast of Atlanta and 170 miles inland from Savannah, is known as "The Heart of Georgia" because of its central location within the state. While the nearest ocean is several hours away from Macon, the Ocmulgee River is a great place to cool off during the hot month of August. Visit the Sandy Beach Water Park, where you can enjoy the wave pool, lazy river, and private cabanas for the day. A sandy beach, fishing, camping, and water sports are all available at nearby Lake Tobesofkee. The lake has 35 miles of shoreline. Ocmulgee Mounds Historical Park, a prehistoric Native American site with wetland areas, forest areas, and miles of trails, is easily accessible to city dwellers and guests alike. There are a number of museums to visit, including the Tubman Museum, the largest museum in the United States devoted exclusively to African American art, history, and culture. Capricorn Sound Studios and the Allman Brothers Band Museum serve as reminders of Macon's significance in the music industry. Camping grounds and old inns are both options for overnight stays.

Tenerife is the largest of Spain's Canary Islands and is found in the Atlantic Ocean near Morocco. In the sweltering summer months, when temperatures regularly top 80 degrees Fahrenheit, Tenerife becomes a popular beach vacation spot thanks to its many different beach options.
