Finding a hat that fits properly is an important part of selecting the right one. To help you find the perfect match, we've outlined the four most important questions to ask below.

  1. Just how do we know what size hat to buy?
  2. When it comes to women's hats, what size is typical?
  3. Where can I find a hat size chart?
  4. Where do I find the hat sizing instructions? (Read this, it's important. )

The inside circumference of a hat, as measured around its sweatband at the base of the crown, is typically given in centimeters. This is true of all Gigi Pip hats, whether they're fedoras, boaters, or something else. casino hats Hats can be ordered in any size, but most women select theirs by starting with the average size of a woman's head (57 cm) and going up or down from there. adjust downward if necessary to fit

It's usually easy to guess a woman's hat size. About 57 centimeters is the average size of a woman's head. The Gigi Pip small/medium hat is a good choice if you're on the fence about your hat size. The brim of the small/medium hat can be sized down to fit a head circumference of 55cm. Make sure to get the 59cm size if your head is noticeably bigger than average. This Gigi Pip is a medium/large because it's designed for a head circumference of 59 centimeters (cm) and can be adjusted to fit a 57 cm (nine inch) head circumference. Gigi Pip's largest size is 61 cm, which is designated as an XL. Just like our other sizes, the 61 cm can be sized down to 59 cm. We advise a size XS, which starts at 55cm and goes down to 53 cm, for women who believe their heads are slightly smaller than average. We have a range of children's sizes, starting at 53 cm and going down to 51 cm in certain styles.

Here are the sizing details for Gigi Pip hats:

Short people (51 to 53 centimeters)
S (from 53 to 55 centimeters)
Small/Medium (55cm-57cm)

There are primarily two ways to determine your hat size, and they both depend on how you plan to wear your hat. The larger of the two measurements (shown below) is what you'll use to determine your hat size. When your hat arrives, you can try it on in a variety of ways to determine the best fit.

You can measure the circumference of your head with a string or a piece of yarn instead of a textile measuring tape if you don't have one. Using the marks you made around your head, lay the yarn out flat on a table or floor and take its length using a ruler or standard measuring tape.

First, there's the tried-and-true approach.

You can tell you're wearing a traditional hat because it looks like this: The hat's front edge rests low on the forehead, above the eyebrows, bringing it to an almost horizontal position. Using the diagram below as a guide, measure your head circumference at the point halfway between the center of the back of your head and the top of your forehead, above your eyebrow.

  1. Measure the circumference of your head by passing a fabric measuring tape (or string) from the back of your head to the front, above your eyebrows. The tape measure needs to be flat on the floor.
  2. Recheck the tape's apex on your noggin. Sizes of hats are measured in centimeters. Adjust your hat size up if you're on the fence about it.

Strategy 2: The Halo Approach

The halo style of hat wear is depicted above. Your hat is worn backwards, with the front cocked higher. A person's head circumference can be determined using the halo method by calculating the circumference of their head at the points where a straight line from the back of their head, over their neck, and up through the center of their brows meets.

  1. Take a circumference measurement of your head by wrapping a fabric measuring tape around your head from the back, above your neck, to the front, above your brow. It's important that the front tape is higher than the back tape.
  2. Measure the circumference of your head with the tape. Halo hats are typically smaller in size than other types of hats. The larger of the two hat sizes is what you should go with because there is usually a difference in measurements. We recommend ordering one size up and taking it in at the waist if you find yourself in a size in-between.

Keep in mind that 57 cm (a small/medium) is the sweet spot if you're still unsure about hat size.

Instructions for Changing the Inner Band Size

To adjust the sweatband's fit, simply lift it and use the Velcro tab. Return the ribbon's Velcro closure to its original position to achieve the perfect fit. Hat size can be adjusted by up to 5 centimeters with the help of the elastic band. Here are a few pointers regarding our interchangeable inner band:

Making even a small tweak can have a significant effect.

-it may take a few tries to find the perfect fit, but once you do, you shouldn't have to make any further adjustments very often.

How to Use a Hat Sizing Tape

You can also use hat sizing tape to make your hat fit more snugly. Stick the foam tape, adhesive side out, to the inside of your hat, behind the sweatband. To minimize the hat's size as much as possible, wrap the tape around it once; to reduce its size more gradually, cut the tape in half. Cut to size and check for fit before removing backing from adhesive. Once the attachment is in the right spot, peel off the protective film from the adhesive, press firmly, and voila!
