June to August is undoubtedly the peak tourist season in Portugal. The sunny summer days with average temperatures of 80 to 85°F are ideal for spending time on the beautiful beaches. However, be prepared for scorching temperatures, high prices, and large crowds, especially in major cities like Lisbon and Porto. Finding accommodations in Lisbon with air conditioning can help you escape the heat.

Autumn, from early September to late November, also offers pleasant weather with average temperatures of 70°F. This season is great for exploring the country and is especially popular among professional surfers.
