Seattle is a city worth visiting all year round. Although mid-May to early October is the best time to experience mild to warm weather with little rainfall, don't let Seattle's rainy reputation stop you from considering other months. Depending on what you want to do in Seattle, your weather preparation, crowd tolerance, and budget, you might find March preferable to July.

As a Seattle local, I can guide you on what to expect during each month, the climate, and events and festivals to plan for. If you're looking for the most predictable weather for outdoor and indoor adventures, May to October is your best bet. However, Seattle has something to offer in every month. Late June to September brings warm weather and clear, sunny days ideal for spending time by Lake Washington or Mount Rainier. Temperatures during these months are around 77°F (25°C).

May through June and September to October are considered the shoulder season. Though not as warm as the peak summer months, these months still offer great weather with slightly lower temperatures (around 66-71°F/19-21°C), fewer crowds, and plenty of events to attend. These are generally the times I recommend for a visit to Seattle.
